Music is related with every function in Nepal, whether be it marriage,
birth ceremonies, festivals or National events. Different musical
instruments, songs and dances are liked up with various group, religion,
tradition, custome, social and cultural life of Nepali people. That is
why, music is the fundamental element of every function and the
heartbeat of Nepal.
Music of Nepal refers to the various musical genres heard in Nepal. With more than 100 ethnic groups, the music of the country is highly diverse. Genres like pop, rock, folk, Lok Dohori, Modern, Lok-Pop, Item, and Classical music are widely found, though many less common genres are yet to be categorized. Rap also appears on the Nepalese music charts.
Nepali lok Geet is popular forms of folk music, which is sing to express love,hate and other strong emotional feeling of something. lok geet is sung through different way eg. single ,double or on the form of debate that is known as '' Lok Dohori ''. Dohori is the way that give quick answer to each other through the song is really interesting ,that gives us real entertainment on the spot.
Most of the time our lok geet spread the wide range of awareness and right information which are occurring in the society frequently. In young age it is really difficult to control the emotion,some time this make us out of track that can not be amended once it slip from the track. That is why we most have right suggestion while in our late teen age or above. On the other hand especially for young girls are very high are in risk.
